T'would be one thing if they were understated, and existed only to highlight the costumes and make them a little more lively, but Deadpool and whoever the trenchcoat guy' costumes are predominantly white. Deadpool's normal costume is far more stealthy.
And Wolverine and Archangel, 50% of their costumes are made of of bright and shiney silver. (Ignoring Archangel's wings).
It just doesn't work as stealth.
Deadpool is gray though, not white and Fantomex at least wears a mask. It works better in the issues where it is drawn dull gray (pretty much all of Uncanny X-Force) and not shiny silver. I don't see how bright red is less noticeable than dull silver.
Anyway, I think it is more about not being distinct. When the CIA sends in strike teams they are wearing basic tac gear that anyone might use, no identifying marks. Makes it harder to identify a team wearing plan gray/black since they could be anyone and this the next best thing after gas masks and body armor. I have more problem with them sporting the big red X symbol. I know from an art design standpoint you want that but it's a dead giveaway for the X-Men. And the whole point was to keep the X-Men out of it entirely.
