Hey gang, here's my take on Hawkeye from the Avengers movie!
The WalMart Hawkeye figure is awesome but there wasa few things that were off. First, he never wore shades in the movie, nor did his quiver have a harness when he was in his official "Ultimate" style uniform. Also the bow isn't quite right either.
I carefully shaved off his glasses and then sculpted in eyes and brow area. I glued a piece of thin wire to the inside of glasses so they can still be pressure fit on his face for more options.
I added blue LEDs in his eyes to replicate Clint under Loki's spell! Easily switched on via a micro switch on the back.
I went ahead and added the red laser sight on his bow as well! This was a toughy because I wanted to keep the bow as a removable accessory, so I custom fabricated some sockets on the bow and his hand. The wires run inside his arm for a super clean look. Again the bow is switched on via a micro switch on his back.
The batteries reside in his lower torso and are replaceable too!
I added 14 scratch built arrow rears to his quiver so Hawkeye is loaded up for battle!
Also there are 4 full length arrows:
Standard arrowhead
Explosive tipped arrowhead
"PC Hacker" arrowhead
Grappling arrowhead with magnetic tip! The magnet is even strong enough to support Hawkeye so he can swing from it while firing off more arrows!
Painted in durable acrylics, enamels, and lacquers, and sealed for protection. I used subtle shades of black, using glosses and mattes here and there to help bring out the details of an all black uniform.
Thanks for looking, I've done enough blabbing! On with the show!
