Hello there.
Sometimes, when I'm working on a figure, a little paint really makes me realize how much a designer had put into a figure, only to have the guys over at the paint dept screw it up. Such is the case with Starscream. Not only that, but taking that complex movie design and it turning into a fully tfing figure that looks this much like the on screen version is astounding to me.
That said, he needed a little work, which I'm surprised I'm not seeing more of with this guy.
He couldn't bend his arms inward. A dremel took care of the plastic on the arms that prevented that. Then the ball joint neck was needed, as his head looked short and stumpy.
The guns are removable, and attach to magnets to become the jet thrusters on the back you see in the film. I also installed the orange jewel-beads you see in the pics.
Painted with various Testors Model Master Acryls, and a little Games Workshop flesh wash over silver in the chest area to get that movie-copper color.
With the added articulation, he's now free to be put into many cowardly poses.
Any comments and ideas are encouraged!
