Hopefully this does come to pass, especially in light of that expiration date for AA. But it does make my idea about increasing their sub sales sound more sinister. Seriously.

One figure does not salvage an entire line of meh (IMHO). And the reason he doesn't have a gimmick weapon is that most of the budget for the figure went to all the joints/parts to make him "Ultra-Poseable". Notice that he's the only figure in the ASM line without one?
But that also give us a little insight on how much Hasbro is paying Marvel for licensing rights. Compare ASM figures with Retaliation figures, which are approximately the same price at retail. Both have gimmick weapons, but Joe are far more articulated than ASM figs (excluding UPSM).
