Alrighty guys and gals, here we have what I envision Deadpool would look like in the Marvel Movie Univese! Deadpool is everyone's favoriet wisecracking merc with a mouth, and I just wanted to try a new take on him. I wanted his suit to be less "costumey" and more like a tactical commando outfit.

He started out from an Avengers Movie Captain America for the base figure. Sculpted his head (yep, that's Cap A's noggin under all that sculpt!), ankle bands, bicep costume detail, and removed the stars from the front and back, then sculpted the texture to match his uniform.

I didn't like the stiff, no waist articulation for 'ol Wade, so I removed the lower torso section completely, rebuilding it with a double ball joint system for ultra posability!

I opted for a cloth mid torso with scratch built ab armor and piping to detail it out.
The belt and pistols are from Fantomex, but his belt doesn't quite go around the Cap A waist so I had to scratch buld the buckle, filling in the gap with some pouches from random GI Joe vest fodder. I also added some red light piping to the electronic sights on the pistols.

His forearms/hands are from ROML Captain Rogers, as well as the upper harness straps, along with some scratch built banding. Scratch built the center harnes disk, and used the buckles from Cap's shield to make the sword holders.

Added a rifle and sbmachine gun from the fodder box along with a couple dollar store ninja swords, with which I chromed the blades.

Painted in durable acrylics, enamels, and lacquers, and sealed for protection. Look for him on Ebay starting tonight!

Very happy with the results! The Cap A figure is really an awesome base figure and I can see myself doing more "soft body" mid torso customs as I really like the real world vibe it gives off!
