Saw it yesterday with my wife and was quite happy with the film. While I did think some of "growing pains" were a little over-the-top, I thought most of the were genuinely funny.
Also, I liked Connors/Lizard much more than I thought I would.
Loved Garfield's version of Peter/Spidey, especially the wise-cracking. I would love to see more of that in the future.

btw you guys have me kinda wanting to see this now as I was previously not interested in going to the theaters to see this thanks a lot you guys suck
I'd recommend 2D. I saw it that way and it was fine. Haven't heard of anything to make the other formats worth the extra $$$.

Since when is an $8.1-million-dollar increase considered crushing a previous record? Considering box office totals these days, I don't consider it all that significant. Sure, it broke the previous record. But crushed? A bit of an exaggeration, IMHO.

Have to admit, the guy has a point. What do you think?
Not really. Hollywood has been remaking films/retelling stories for almost a century now. This is nothing new and it will probably keep happening long after we're all dead and buried.
And how many times has Peter's origin story been retold? Again, nothing new under the Sun.

I think Green Goblin was his arch-enemy until the creation of Venom (well, the original Eddie Brock version). But I do think that Doc Ock is a close second, similar to the way I view Riddler and Penguin as compared to Joker.
