It's ridiculous for anyone to think this movie can't have its own start... It needed it's own origin story to set up it's ethos. Don't like it, sucks for you. But why the hell wouldn't this movie have it's own origin story? We all know there will be at least 2 more films in this series, they can't set up their own little universe...? Why bother having Green Goblin, Venom, or Dr. Oct? I mean haven't we all seen it already...?

How some of you can totally gloss over the fact that the origin story in this film was drastically different than the other, and focused more on Peter's parents disappearance, is a huge distinction. So you had to sit through another origin story.

At least it wasn't Tobey SM dancing around like a little emo asshole for an hour.
