Maybe they think kids like us are the exception or something. I remember seeing Batman in all orange or blue or green and thinking "I've never seen that in the cartoon" so I thought it was dumb and passed. Those were usually the ones I got as gifts though lol. With Iron Man when I saw the Space Armor or Hydro Armor I thought "hey, I remember that episode" which also make the wilder armors easier to accept. I just think that once they realize that you can't recolor Thor and just pretend it's some cool theme they will be more profitable with those lines.
