This isn't a news thread, so I posted it in this forum. This is for general D-Arts Rockman/Mega Man discussion. News threads will be made and/or moved to the news and rumors forum.
To kick things off, I just got my Vile figure today. I remember playing Mega Man X quite a bit back in the day but I never remembered beating it. Those games are hard. However I do remember seeing Vile.
As every hero needs a villain to fight, I picked up Vile. Vile's ammo belt is even articulated! Pretty crazy, was not expecting that, I thought it would just be a PVC strip. Articulation is great, I dig the hip articulation over Zero Type 2's, except for the thigh swivels being loose.
The only other figure I have is Zero Type 2 which has an excellent sculpt. I just wish the hair had more support and that the hip joints had a more straightforward way about moving them. I need an X but
luckily Bluefin Tamashii Nations USA is said to be bringing more over in the future
(according to posts I read at our sister site TFW2005). Will probably get Full Armor X eventually.
My main pet peeve with D-Arts Mega Man/Rockman figures is that some joints are tight enough to feel "rickity" when moving. Joints like Vile's head/neck, Zero's hips, et al. Other than that these are the best Rockman/Mega Man figures ever made. I remember back in the day when Bandai Japan made Rockman X figures and had armor on sprues. They were great for their time but the bodies had polycap construction for the limbs. The polycaps on some of my figures cracked..which sucked! These D-Arts Rockman/Mega Man figures, which also have some limbs that can be swapped, are like the spiritual successor to Bandai Japan's old Rockman lines.
