In 1988, G.I.Joe saw the introduction of a few large vehicles - The Cobra B.U.G.G., the G.I.Joe Rolling Thunder and an aircraft that still adorns many collections to this day, the G.I.Joe Phantom X-19 Stealth Fighter.

The X-19 was loosely based off of actual plans (as most vehicles were). The Phantom came with it's pilot, Ghost Rider, who as per original marvel comic, was easily forgettable.

Thanks to HissTank Forum Members gijoeforlife and viper934, we now have comparison pictures of the U.S., UK and Brazilian versions. Sure, not the 50 shades that I eluded to, but still enough to enjoy the subtle differences between each piece.

For instance, did you know that the Estrela version has a green canopy, or that the Action Force version was a lighter shade of gray? Join us after the jump for a history lesson and to share your thoughts on this awesome vehicle and it's different variations.
