After a brief break we are back with the fourth of the four new Deluxe Class toys in the Asia Exclusive Generations Deluxe Assortment. Last but by no means least, we have an advance look at this homage to Generation 1 Springer, who will be coming to Toys R Us later this Fall as a part of the "China Import" exclusive assortment.
Springer here is a very cool reuse of the Hunt for the Decepticons Tomahawk mold. He features a new head which is modeled on his more recent appearances in the IDW comics. He's also got a new sword accessory which complements his look nicely. The lanky build of the mold really screams "Springer" to me, and while the mold's movie-line origins means this one is not for everyone, my personal feeling is this is an ideal addition to a Classics collection. The design fits in well with the likes of Drift and Wreck-Gar and looks absolutely fantastic in helicopter mode. He will be one worth seeking out once his assortment makes it to the US, if you have not already got him on import.
Open the link below to check out the full gallery, which includes a selection of comparisons with the unofficial Springer toy, the FansProject Warbot Defender, contributed by 2005 Boards member Orodruin!
