Honestly I'd just get whatever heroes you want. Usually they announce new characters/costumes about a week ahead of time. That is when it's a good idea to start saving.

If I could do this at work I would ^ But alas my work computer can barely play the game itself...when I get desperate or bored I may go this route later.
