That can be interpreted many ways. From the actual end of the world, to the end of the last of a certain bloodline, to almost anything inbetween. It just means some drastic change or upheaval, potentially even just biologicly speaking. Whether that means transcendance, or a certain gene trait annihalation, who knows.

I'm not too worried about it, just thankful our generation gets to witness history in the making. 9/11, Obama, and 2012 are all things that'll probably end up in history books taught to our grandchildren, and their grandchildren. Like the assasinations of MLK, and JFK, were taught to some of us. Even the events that lead to WWI.

According to the ancient Mayans, 2012 is the end of the "Long Count", and signifies a "time of change".

Some of the prophecies, like the ones from Nostradamus, suggest that the future can be changed, and there is still hope.

But there are many other cultures and prophecies that do say that 2012 will be a doomsday scenario.

I agree that it could be interpreted different ways. It could be a drastic change of some sort, or the beginning of a chain if reactions that lead to a drastic change.

Some also say that 9/11 plays a part in the prophecies.
