I totally agree with what you are teaching your daughter, kids now adays can get too spoiled and they need to be taught lessons. Scalpers is a whole other issue that you can hop on over to the Marvel 6.00 thread to read about lol. But employees getting the jump on everyone else like shortyben said is a whole other level. If the employee was a collector themselves, that would be cool, work sucks and that is one of your benefits to get first pick of what you want for your collection, but if a wave never hits pegs because you take the one per case each time to resell, that is jacked up. They should have an employee limit one per figure, but really what company is going to keep track of that.
