I didn't think of that, but the thread is named
MU
tant Lounge so I assumed it was a anything goes but feel free to throw in some Marvel, wink wink. So I don't know. I like the feel of a catch all thread that allows for discussions to go in any direction the poster want to go. I like the idea of having a general topic but allows in-depth conversation without the fear of going off topic. Many people that complain about the thread going off topic are the worst offenders. They complain about having to read through pages of stuff their not interested in but don't seem to mind doing the same to others.
I think a big draw on this site is Marvel. Marvel Universe and Legends. And I think a lot of people not only want to share in their love of collecting these lines but also want to expand on their knowledge of the Marvel Universe Comics. For example, I didn't know who Bastaar was before the figure was show. So it's only natural for me to say, wow who's this guy. And then for someone to explain and for maybe a discussion to evolve. That's what makes it fun to me. Some pics posted here are great, but you can only look at so many pictures or hear how much people like or dislike a figure before you're board.
It just seems that the off topic aspects of the appreciation threads was in reality the glue that held everything together. maybe I'm wrong but there is a reason it topped 2000 pages.
