If you've tried painting the handles of your 2012 TMNT figure weapons you've found out that doesn't work because any paint you try rubs right off. That's thanks to the waxy unpaintable plastic they're made of. But using the Loctite plastic Bonder pen and some ribbon you can whip up some nicer looking handles. They won't rub off either.

You'll need the Loctite Plastic Bonder system (and superglue), your TMNT weapons, X-acto knife, and the thinnest craft ribbon you can find at Walmart or Michaels.

After you're done you can add black lines to the ribbon if you want them more detailed and seal them using superglue. They still fit in the Turtle's hands and in their sheathes assuming you wrapped the handles tightly and didn't make a mess when gluing the ribbon ends over each other.
