it is. there are tournaments in which you can get free gold or CP. There are guilds that you can be a part of and all you have to do is click on certain things and your group gets points. You just need an easy 30 and if your entire guild beats the other then you win the prize. Most are crappy prizes but there is usually gold or CP once or twice a day. Plus it's virtually unlimited energy and ISO when you have the right allies and they're easy to come by. I only started maybe 3 weeks ago and I'm at level 42 as opposed to my FB lvl 133 from June. And I'm ahead on Spec Ops there.
