It goes all the way to the season end. So at the end depending on your ranking is what you get. Your current level may be gold, but you won't get anything till the end. So lots can change. I'm all for the wait a day or two till it ends and play non stop to get the ranking. Worse case is you get gold. Just stock up on pvp energy so you can play more at the end.
