DC Collectibles (formerly DC Direct) releases numerous statues, busts, and figures at various scales. They have a good archive on their website to see their entire product line. Most of their line would be very hard to confuse with any 1/6 Hot Toys figure. Though sculpting can be very high quality, articulation is usually somewhat limited on these figures. Even their poseable figures can be criticized since their poseabilty can be very limited. You can search their product line here:

Hot Toys specializes in 1/6 scale fully articulated figures with a few 1/4 scale specials. They also have some vehicles, busts, and a few super-deformed figs, but these are minimal in comparison to their 1/6 offerings. They usually specialize in movie-accurate figures with "human" detail replicating real actors or live action movie characters, rather than comic or artistic interpretations. These are generalizations, but they truly can be difficult to confuse one for the other. You can search their product line here:
