Hello again,
Just thought I'd share a set that's been in the works for awhile... the Marvel Zombies main zombie cast, and two of the heroes from the Marvel Zombiverse (Earth-2149) the Black Panther (w Zombie Wasp's head) and Ashley "Ash" J. Williams! For those not in the know, Ash crossed over with the Marvel Zombies in the surprisingly pretty good "Marvel Zombies/Army of Darkness: Dead Days". All of the main zombies (Hulk, Wolverine, Colonel America, Power-Man, Spidey) are essentially repaints, with custom sculpting/mods. Zombie Giant-Man was created from a Black Goliath modding to the head, and custom sculpting for his belt/antennae. Zombie Iron Man was an Iron Man 2 #28 Classic Iron Man figure (my favorite mold of that look), cut in half with sculpted guts/spinal column hanging out. For his "flying" base, I used a Superhero Showdown Invisible Woman base and attached miscellaneous scrap parts from other figures and painted them to look like the body parts of half eaten victims. Truth is, I needed a creative way to cover the big Fantastic 4 logo on it, heh.
As far as the heroes go, Black Panther was a second to last minute add-on that came about from having a scrap single carded Marvel Universe Bullseye with an arm and leg missing. I sculpted his bandages, added the stick, and used a GI Joe Rise of Cobra Ripcord head with sculpting for the cowl. Zombie Wasp's head is a GI Joe 25th Lady Jaye repaint/mod. Ash was mostly constructed from GI Joe parts with a Star Wars head from a figure I found at a flea market (sorry, not a SW guy, don't know the character). His hand is interchangeable between chainsaw and big metal hand, and he comes with a boomstick (shotgun)(not the right model unfortunately, but good enough), and a custom sculpted Necronomicon. He was the last minute addition to this set, my brother suggested. Thanks for checking out my work!
