I just finished my 100th match and am Adamantium league and ranked in Top 0% (whatever this means, but it's as high as you can go.) This is stupid long.. but I broke it down for sections if some doesn't apply to you. Here we go!

State of your account
I'm level 101. I'm freezing here currently (and you should try to remain 104 if you can or for others, close to a turning point like level 100) due to the ability to still get matches against pre-100 opponents. They don't have the extra armory page or access to the Star? isos either. You do need to drop some gold on those, but I recommend it as it greatly increases stats. Buy and level up heroes all you can afford too. They greatly help your stats as well.


My Team Setup
I use WWII Cap still because his auto protect is fantastic. No matter who goes first, he is blocking everything. With the isos and armory page he is pretty beefy still. his retaliation with Shield Bash is so good too. The protect on all of their aoe moves is huge too. Colossus does not have this or a retaliatory hit and that's the biggest downfall on his part.

Quicksilver or Annihilation Human Torch are my current other 2. Torch can absorb the dumb moves by the AI like coulson's revenge or any other ability that does fire damage and it's hilarious. They waste their turn and you heal from it.

But lately, QS has been proving fantastic. His opening turns lets me get some early damage on anyone I want since he doesn't provoke counters or protects. Plus with a lot of people in the higher leagues wearing the reward infilitrator costume he procs his tag team every time. basically 4 turns total to start every fight. And then his second time around you always hit 1 more time for 3rd stack on quickness and then aoe stun the team. It almost always stuns 2 of them, which means you basically all get a free round across the board.

My Items on Agent
After Quantum Jumper nerf, I use magnetic shield generator now in place of it. The 1000+ dmg shield and the almost guaranteed bonus turn is amazing. I almost always use this turn 1 for my agent because it keeps Cap alive through any onslaught or combos plus gives him a bonus turn amidst theirs. And if he does die, it takes all 3 turns of theirs to do it and with a few shield bashes from him and my follow-up turns, I can usually take out 1 or 2 of them.

I also love Dark Sigil. It applies void and burning to everyone on their team and this alone sometimes wins matches. If they have less than 500, don't hit them, because they will die on their turn. The weak point it applies though is FANTASTIC. If I get my electromagnetic shield up, then I use that on a Cap round 2, he returns attack with shield bash and I get bonus turn. Now my Coulson's Revenge is guaranteed to hit and crit him. Dead.

My 4th item is still chrono overdrive. I don't open with it into Coulson's Revenge hardly ever any more this season, but when you can finish someone off with this, do it!


Tips on Who to Focus in Fights:
Do they have protect? Is it Aoe protect? Have to just chip away at this without QS. Try to combo them down best you can or play defensively (shields, heals etc.) until protect ends or you have an opening.

Go for the agent first otherwise. His utility is too good currently.

Never attack a MB. Let her do what she does and if you can finish her or combo her out, do so. But never attack her just to get some damage on her. This is bad.

If Scarlet Witch is on their team, she no longer uses chaos shield first as AI, so beat her down before she can. She's worthless if she doesn't get that off. And her probability field has a cooldown so don't let her hit that one by just smashing her down first.

Ignore Emma. Everyone uses her but she doesn't do crap against me. Let her sit and do her thing until she's the last one left. Trying to hit her through organic shield while fighting off others is too annoying. You may miss with 1 person, hit with 2nd (giving her organic recovery) and then 3rd person only get 1 hit on her. Complete waste. Just ignore her and only attack through mental anguish if you will live and take someone out. Otherwise, shield, heal, etc.

Strange is a current favorite among people. His shields are annoying and his extra turns are strong if they have his attack high, but he seems to die pretty quick for me. I focus him if I need to, but he's usually a second kill as he rarely churns out enough damage to fear.

Ghost Rider is the tough one. I almost want to use him, but my current setup is working so well. His AI seems to churn out damage and hurt everyone on the team. I focus him if I can kill him, but that infernal contract thing is annoying! I still seem to find ways around him, but if he is left up too long, he suddenly penance stares someone to pieces for like 5k.

Kill Thor before he gets to 2 stacks of Might of Mjolnir. He is about to wreck someone if he does. Packing Torch or a strong blaster shreds these bruisers easy though.

Speaking of Torch, he is tough to decide when to kill as his plasma body sucks as retaliation to your attacks and his blazing speed is often used to dodge abilities. Plus, just for the same reason I use him, his immunity to fire attacks can hurt your options to finish him off. Check turn order and how many consecutive hits you'll get on him and if you have a Tactician, go for it. His Flame On will makeup some damage and so if you can't burst him down it's usually better to check to someone else and hope you don't get burning on you somehow prior to his first turn. That fireball is boom dead!

I know this is super long.. but I love pvp currently and it's so much more fun in this season to have to evaluate matchups and attacks. Rarely does anyone on either side just instant kill everyone or even 1 person, so it's much more strategic. If anyone has any questions about a certain matchup or anything at all, ask away..
