What I've been doing to combat the reset BS is to be logged onto Facebook on both Firefox and Chrome at the same time (Facebook treats them as completely separate sessions). When I'm doing PvP or any kind of mission, I use the Chrome session for MAA and keep the Firefox session on my news feed. When I'm done with missions and whatnot, I switch Chrome to my news feed, then Firefox to MAA and let the auto-flight deck start up and run while I'm away.

No more combat errors and I still get to build $$$. The one and only downside is I can no longer speed up the animations during fights. But since I rarely used it to begin with, it's not that big of a loss for me.
