I wish I could find wave 3 and 4 at retail. I want all of the hit monkey wave, a few from wave 3, and an extra deadpool to keep moc. My retail stores are still stuck on the zola wave, but yet we got the new IM3 figures... and new TMNT, go figure.
TMNT usually sells well in my area, it's pretty constant, though I do see Playmates making the mistake of making more gimmick laden figures in the recent waves, without some points of articulation. Pretty bad imo but that's best discussed in an other thread.
I hear ya on ML being collector-driven, I agree. It's a double edged sword, there's always a figure no collector nor kids really care about, and some stores don't order until their supply hits a certain amount. So seeing Drax, Klaw, et al, languish means we probably won't see new stuff until someone buys them. On the other hand, I'm glad those figures were even made.
Collecting ML has never really been straightforward...well at least I see it that way since Toy Biz ML wave 5. After that, in my experience, if you wanted a figure you definitely had to hunt for it. Sometimes we would get lucky, like in 06 when ML wave 15 was flooding TRU.
I really hope we get a revision case this year where it's a mix of wave 3 and wave 4 variants, and normal figures. I think the blue/pink Archangel will be more sought after than the X-Force version. To me it looks better plus it's a classic costume.
I might get the X-Force version but I would prefer an Archangel as Apocalypse figure instead.
