Hey Gang!
I know I know...yet
another
Rocketeer figure right?
Well, I actually started this guy
waaaay
back in '93 by first making the Cirrus X-3 Jetpack &,well..... thats about where the whole project kinda died....
until recently!
I Found a 3 3/4" GI joe base figure a few years back that had the basic necessary appearance that I needed & along with some donor parts from other figures, began workin on 'ol Cliffy here once more! Very recently I came a across a site that has a ton of custom heads & there I saw...THE HELMET!! I very nearly soiled myself as I was planning on doing the helmet myself when I saw the very nice done rendition that was being offered. A push of a few buttons & it was mine!! Mwu-hahaha!! ...ahem.. sorry bout that!
I tried for a long time to find a good Cliff Secord donor head but nothing seemed to match quite right. Then, it was
again
my great good fortune to come across a site that offers to shrink down a figure head to the size you need & I decided to use the the head from my old 1991 Screamin' 1/4 "Rocketeer" vinyl kit as the donor for the new head. What you see in the pics is just a digi-bashed version of what the new head will look like when I finally have it done.
"The Rocketeer" - Cliff Secord
Parts List:
Head- Cliff Secord reduced from old Screamin' 1/4 Vinyl kit
Helmet- "The Angel Forge" part # MH00316
Cirrus X3- Custom built with L.E.D. lit, clear cast afterburner flames
Torso & Arms- 25th anniv. Cobra Crimson Guard
Upper Legs- 25th anniv. Cobra Crimson Guard
Lower Legs- 25th anniv. Cobra Viper
Hands- Microman Male blank (black)
Pistol- 1:18 Modified Broom Handle Mauser ( Marauders Inc)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Cliffy here is just in the beginning phases, have some apoxie sculpt on 'im but there's lots to go!
As always, comments & crits are heartily appreciated!
Thanks for lookin' guys!
Cheers!
BK!
