[Black Dynomite]

I'm new to the custom game and only got into it because I was inspired by most of the guys that post here and on other custom sites. I've been learning techniques and hopefuly this thread will serve as a running diary. I think it will be cool to see if I can evolve my skills with each post. I plan on stepping my camera skills up as well so bear with my first few entries. Okay, enough of tha jibba jabba!

This is my very first custom. I haven't been collecting long and like most new collectors I made a baaaad purchase. I was able to get a Series 1 Toybiz Hulk for like $25 on Ebay. I seriously just got the first Hulk I saw in my price range. When I opened the box everyone from my wife to my 6 year old girls busted out a collective "Ugh". The fact that this figure was so ugly was what gave me the courage to try my hand at custom work.

All I did was repaint him in a brighter scheme. Bunch of washes and drybrushing with a flat clear coat. After I started my first of many enamle mixed green apps I noticed this sculpt wasn't bad at all. The rings around the eyes really take away from a pretty nice looking figure (other than the dumb gorilla arms and hands). His pants are blue because my baby girl feels the only thing stopping Hulk from being realistic is the fact that his pants are purple. Lol, kids....
