It entirely depends on which wave you are looking to get. Some foils only came out overseas (like the series 6 foils), so those are even more expensive than a normal piece. But if you have say a non-chase series 4 foil, it's not that hard to find and is priced only slightly higher than a non-foil.

Only trade more to get the foil if it's something you want to collect or want to keep packaged. They really aren't that cool once you get them out of the package, but they really make the carded figure pop.
