New Captain America
-While I don't particular like the idea of bringing someone back from the dead(which is typically involved a huge retcon), I love Ed Brubaker's writing and he is one of the few writers who can turn a crappy idea into an amazing story. Bucky, thought to be have died in WWII, returned to the Marvel Universe as the Winter Soldier, a Cold War assassin for the Russians, who later regains his memories and rejoins Captain America. Captain America is killed, and while Bucky knows he cannot be Steve Rogers, he tries his best to be Captain America, and ends up doing a great job. He knows he has huge shoes to fill but puts in great effort. Normally these kinds of stories suck but Ed Brubaker is a genius, and this story is
excellent
, a must have.
Not only is New Captain America a great character, he is involved in some of the recent Marvel storylines such as Secret Invasion, and will be involved in future Marvel storylines for next year. Hasbro is working closely with Marvel so that the character selection in Marvel Universe fits in well with what is currently going on in the Marvel Universe. That is another reason why New Captain America would be a great fit in this line, especially if he is featured prominently in Marvel's big events/crossovers next year.
I would not mind an
evolutions set
,
Bucky-Winter Soldier-New Captain America
. Accessories could be the numerous weapons that Winter Soldier used during the Cold War, Bucky's WWII accessories, and of course, New Captain America's pistol, knife, and
shield
.
