I don't see why they would care if they pissed off anyone who bought their products at aftermarket prices. As far as Hasbro is concerned, they already got their money from the primary market. If anything, they would probably use the secondary market to get ideas for additional revenue (like re-issuing certain toys, if they feel the market for them is still there).

For example, Takara recently re-released G1 Fortress Maximus at $330 USD. Considering a complete vintage one was/is going for around $1000 USD (on average), it's a hell of a deal. I'm sure if Fort Max could pass today's US toy safety standards (i.e. drop tests), Hasbro would probably jump at the chance as well (assuming they could find a retailer willing to carry it).

But the problem with bringing Vision back is the mold he used, not the feelings of collectors or scalpers. Of course, we've already discussed that tidbit ad nauseum in other threads on this site.
