Marvel Select's new Venom figure is by far the best venom we have seen in a long time, especially because he came with so many extras! I decided to take the Madness add on and create a Venom the Madness figure that really lives up to the comics, and the toybiz figure of the 90s.
I used a Marvel Select Ultimate Venom (the large one) as the base. I then cut off the ball joint necks off the new venom's madness accessory, attached them to the Ultimate venom's shoulder's and back. I used armature wire and hot glue to get them into the height and position I wanted them, I then sculpted them, blending the texture into the body. The Main head (I used one of the alternates from the new MS venom) needed a ball joint *the Ultimate venom's head was just a cut joint. I cut a neck/ball joint off of a LOTR Urik-Hai figure glued it on, and re-sculpted.
The figure features 8 arms. I used the Add ons from the new venom as well as some older venom arms I had in my fodder box. I attached the ball joints to the shoulders (does not hinder articulation, since shoulders are so large) these arms come from the new venom, as do the smaller arms that plug into the forearms. On his back he has to ball jointed arms that attach via peg and magnet.
Painted semi-gloss black, and drybrushed dark blue/grey
