Sculpt looks great but again looks weird. Mattel has stated twice in our Q&A that the 4H did indeed sculpt these figures, and that they worked directly off of the 3d game files. However, the way the articulation was cut in, hinders some joints, like the knees.
This reminds me of Jazwares Mortal Kombat line because the way the articulation was cut is similar! It goes beyond that though...I remember that the Jazwares Mortal Kombat line sculpts were changed at times to meet the criteria of Midway and/or Netherrealm Studios in order to get their approval to go forward. Since the latter worked on Injustice...perhaps the same thing happened here?
My Injustice Batman has better range of motion than my Jazwares MK9 Scorpion, BUT, it's hindered at the exact same places! Hips, knees, et al. Also the below knee swivel is redundant, there's already a thigh swivel! I did not like the soft plastic hands/wrists on my Batman(prone to tearing when twisted, be careful!), and hated how the hips could not move forward 90 degrees. For fighting game figures let alone figures of super-heroes...that's bad!
Sculpts look great but as figures, I hate to admit it but...if DC Collectibles makes 7" fully articulated figures...most fans will opt for those instead of the current 4H/Mattel figures. I hate saying that because I will almost always choose the 4H over DC Collectibles when it comes to DC figures.
