But as tired as I am of hearing/repeating that answer, I'm also equally tired of the "When I was a kid, I didn't want gimmicks - I wanted articulation!" response to the "for the kids" excuse. Because I'd bet you money you might have wanted it, but not having it never stopped you from playing and pretending anyway. I doubt anyone ever rage-quit playtime because his Superman couldn't bend his knees.

I never rage-quit but I was always disappointed that my Ninja Turtles could never pose the way I wanted.

Plus I've never seen kids getting 3.75/4" figures. Even as a kid I think the only ones I ever got were as presents from relatives. I always wanted 5"-up - the bigger, the better.
