Lack of articulation =/= low quality. Less desirable, sure.
And it's the economy that's driving most of the changes you see with the other brands. Hasbro said this would happen about two years ago - that rising oil prices and other increases in materials costs would affect the design and construction of toys as well as their MSRP.

I can't speak for anyone else, but IMHO the amazing part only refers to the 6" Black Series figures and maybe a couple of the 3.75" (like that ESB Vader, due to his accessories).
