A Close-up of the Man of Steel this time. I'm pretty happy with it, but the head is WAAAAYYYYY too small. It was only a quick piece, but still, I should have done it better. And I think I went over board with the area of heavy shading under the rib cage. Oh well. I do like the head, despite how disproportionate it is, I think I managed well with the details. And I feel like I managed to keep it fairly similar looking to the last Superman picture I did. But yeah, I'm kinda disappointed with myself for this one. Here he is:



Happy Independence Day, Americans! Though I'm from the UK, I really appreciate the idealistic version of the American Dream that Cap represents. Freedom, equality and egalitarianism for all! As for the picture itself, I'm pretty pleased with it, especially the face and the individual scales, though they did take ages to draw, so I'm gonna figure out a way of simplifying them if I do another Captain America picture. The shield could still use some work, but I think it's better than the last one I drew. Also, I'm happy with how quickly I finished this one, managing to complete it in about six or seven hours with a number of breaks within that time. So yeah, Happy Independence day to any American followers of my work, and I'm pleased with how this one turned out. Here he is:
