Japan's Summer Wonderfestival 2013 approaches, and with it, the chance of some weird and wonderful one-day license items! A-Stone toys is making one such one-day licensed item, a "Jumbo TF Fortress Maximus", basically a super-deformed (large head) and full transformable version of Generation 1 Fortress Maximus. Images shared so far demonstrate that the oversized noggin is fully removable to allow the body to transform into a compact version of the super-dreadnought starship Maximus. He comes with his "Master Shot" rifle and "Master Sword". A further image also suggests that there are Grand Maximus and Brave Maximus versions planned.
For those unfamiliar and thinking "so isn't this a third party item?", Summer Wonderfestival is treated as a special event in Japan, with garage kit makers usually afforded a one day special license from the owners of various franchises to make models or kits from the licensed franchises, on the proviso they are only sold at Wonderfestival. This has led to some very cool and sought after items, such as the Jizai Toys releases.
