If subscriptions are so close to not going through, why not reveal what will be released if it will help sell more subscriptions? Fun Publications does a great job of revealing the figures in their subscriptions for Joes and Transformers. Mattel could learn something from them in this case.
You don't even realize what a legal nightmare that would be, do you? Mattel isn't even fully sure what the other figures will be yet. WB could decide to make Mattel pull a figure, tooling costs could make one not viable in 2014, just to name a couple. Look at the fiasco they caused with Damian, and that was supposed to be a retail figure. They are not going to risk something like that happening with the subs. It makes perfect sense.
