Rounding out the first assortment of IDW comic pack Generations deluxe class toys is
Orion Pax
. Orion Pax is the original name of Optimus Prime, and represents Optimus before he gained the Matrix and became leader of the Autobots. Sometimes a dockworker, and other times a clerk, Orion Pax typically is your classic King Arthur model of a hero who rises from an unlikely and humble background.
Generations Orion Pax looks back on past versions of the character for inspiration. He takes his design from the IDW Transformers comics, one of the two different forms that Orion was drawn with in flashback stories. It is a design that fits well on any Classics shelf too, thanks to some design similarities with Classics Optimus Prime especially in the arms, and generally looks like a Classics take on the Orion Pax from the Generation 1 cartoon. The design and poseability are excellent, some of the best available on a figure of this size. The accessories, Optimus Prime's signature Ion Blaster and equally signature Energon Axe, serve as the icing on the cake, and complement the main figure extremely well. It is hard to fault Orion Pax - he is a good, fun toy, and strongly recommended.
