At one point in my collection, I owned the DCSH Cassandra Cain Batgirl, but there was always a bit of buyer's remorse from that purchase, mainly because for an expensive figure, I didn't really enjoy the sculpt (damn T-Rex mini arms that all DCUC female figures are given). On the other hand, I always liked the DCD JLA Classified Cain Batgirl sculpt, but the fact that it sucked bad in the articulation department always kept me from picking it up. Lo and behold, I found one for $8 in a pile of used figs at a local comic shop, so I took it upon myself to squeeze as much articulation as possible out of it while maintaining it's looks. Also, I wanted to make it Marvel Legends scale friendlier.
In comparison with the extremely limited stock articulation, Cassandra now sports the following:
*ball jointed head
*swivel/hinge elbows
*increased knee movement to allow a 90 degree bend
*increased hip articulation, now allowing outward movement along with increased forward and backward range
*hinged rocker ankles (reinforced with fixit sculpt, since cutting, drilling, and converting the ankles resulted in very little material holding the hinge pegs in place)
*waist joint
As you can see from the pics, she can now hit WAY more poses, and now looks more like the martial artist she is. By sculpting a newer, smaller head, she is now also Legends scale friendly, and her shapely body fits in great with the newest female ML bodies. For $8 bucks and a bit of work, I now have a Cain Batgirl that I can be satisfied with. I'd like to refine her even more, but alas, onto the next project...
