I was 16 and worked at Best Buy at the time. I remember they would get 15-20 in and just roll them and literally anyone walking by would grab them. I remember people grabbing them and holding onto them while they called their friends to bring money so they could purchase it.
It didn't even take long for that them to start shelf warming. It came out in late October and by Christmas stock was easily on the shelves. Back then they didn't have preorders for the console like tons of places have already done. The hardcore fans have a PS4 now and everyone else won't mind waiting. Anyone paying more than retail just has money to burn and doesn't like to deal with the public. In two weeks they will be easily had.
Absolutely right... Nobody should pay more that the retail price for the PS4. As it is, they are very expensive. The key to this "game" is patience. It's just like collecting... patience is the key. Like I posted earlier, I walked in that store expecting nothing and I found 30 on stock. Sometimes we get lucky like that and other times waiting a little bit is the best option. The only reason some people are in a hurry to get one is probably because of the upcoming holidays of course. If it’s on your kids Santa Claus wish list, then what do you do? Lol…
