Last week we gave you a look at the Generations Deluxe class
Waspinator
, and this week friends we are giving you a look at another "Beast Wars Classics" toy - the Voyager class
Generations Rhinox
! Rhinox was the gentle giant of the Maximals, a thinker who helped the Maximals by inventing devices for them as well as joining battle with his mighty chainguns.
For the Generations line, Rhinox has been upgraded to a Voyager class toy. Like Waspinator Hasbro has gone to great efforts to deliver a very show accurate robot mode, and the result is one of the very best looking Voyagers ever created. Rhinox has a nice bulk to him although he feels a little light on his feet, and poses extremely well, enabling him to recreate a lot of cool poses. The deco is superb, although it comes at the cost of leaving the chainguns unpainted - annoying but on balance I would say acceptable, since the robot deco is completely spot on right down to the Maximal symbols on Rhinox's head. The beast mode does have a bit of movement in the legs but is largely unposeable other than an opening jaw, but again it looks excellent with all the folds and bumps in a rhino's hide lovingly recreated.
Rhinox is one of the very best looking Transformers in a while, and you can tell he was a true labor of love for the design team. The Generations Voyager assortment has never failed to impress of late with great releases like Springer, Sandstorm and Blitzwing, and Rhinox carries on the strong performance. Very highly recommended - I invite everyone, Beast Wars fans or not, to check out the gallery linked below to see why this is such a great toy.
