I'm quite the fan of the second movie, despite how mean-spirited it is. The third movie is pretty horrible, though. However, it's all worth it to see Robo drive a pink Caddy.
Speaking of the third movie, it stands as the lesson to basically leave
RoboCop
well enough alone. It's the result of not only cutting out the over-the-top stuff from the first film (and arguably the second), but also trying to "franchise the brand". Even with this movie, there's no need to retell the origin story in a new or different way. This generation needs its own "RoboCop" stuff, not the stuff from our generation recycled. I mainly mention that since
RoboCop
is a commentary of things happening in the '80s. I'm just really concerned about this generation having their own culture since much of it seems to be a recycling of ours instead with little originality.
