I'm not impressed at all by this set. Then again, I'm not a huge fan of movie adaptations for Marvel Legends in general. I've purchased a few here and there (Jessica Alba-Invisible woman and her cool variants, those Doombots, Avengers Hulk, and I'll get that upcoming Black Widow, Cap, and Winter Soldier to complete a couple of Mandroids), but I normally prefer the comic versions for figures.
I mentioned this with the TRU X-men set, but it sort of grinds me a bit that Hasbro's effort and money were thrown at this line and the new X-set while the Jubilee line has been ignored and all but forgotten. I guess, this Guardians line was to be expected considering that marketing along with the upcoming movie is a given. I just find it more than frustrating that the Jubilee wave was very well received by fans with many of us looking forward to it retailing, but its nowhere to be found. The Jubilee line was featured at Comicons from San Diego to New York along with the Iron Man 3 Legends, Wolverine Legends, and Cap + Spiderman 2 Infinite legends lines.
I just cannot see myself purchasing the Guardians line or X-men set, which isn't that hard of a choice given that the pics I've seen of these latest entries don't hold a candle to what was shown of the Jubilee line. Maybe, Hasbro's intention is release the Jubilee wave later this year, but until they do or don't....I need exercise my right to speak with my wallet by not supporting these less than stellar "replacement" lines.
