If you enjoyed the
Teaser Trailer
for Transformers: Age Of Extinction, you may have noticed all the cool ariel shots (including the Bumblebee action scene) for the movie. Ever wondered how Mr. Michael Bay did those?
For the task,
6K Epic Dragon
cameras were used combined with the
SHOTOVER K1
stabilization platform. 2005 Boards Member GabrielPrime has received info and images from behind the scenes.
"The SHOTOVER K1 stabilization platform was used with a variety of camera and lens combinations including the new 6K Red Dragon, Angeniuex Optimo 16-42 and Angenieux 50-500 anamorphic lens as well as the IMAX Digital 3D rig.
The SHOTOVER K1 was used for aerials on the biggest movie of summer 2014, Transformers 4! Filmed in China and Hong Kong, the K1 was easily brought in for the shoots as there are no export restrictions on the system and because of the K1’s open platform design, the IMAX Digital 3D system was quickly and easily integrated. Whatever the director wants, the K1 delivers!"
For more information about the SHOTOVER K1, you can visit their
official website
. Check out the images, after the jump.
