No problem. Btw, the Star Wars one was called Attacktix - similar to Heroclix's gameplay, but with larger miniatures. There were some Transformers and Marvel characters released for that line as well.

You should probably get one of the D&D Player manuals, take the action figures you want to use and adapt them to the various player character types. I wouldn't worry too much about some of the details (like alignment), but it would be a good way to design a template so anyone could bring their own action figures and have them incorporated into the game. This would also give you a basic outline for other game mechanics, such as battle and NPC interaction.

An even better idea would be to get one of the Super Hero RPG rulebooks and use it as a template. Besides the Marvel Super Heroes RPG (which was made by TSR and is similar to D&D), there are several others that range from licensed to generic:
