We have received some scans from the latest issue of Figure king, courtesy of 2005 Boards member Masabon! This issue's Transformers coverage kicks off with silhouettes of Animated Optimus Prime and Rodimus superimposed over Takara-Tomy's Transformers 2010 celebration image - this pretty clearly relates to the previously announced two pack of crystal Optimus Prime and Rodimus, however, is the backdrop a coincidence, or are they the second entry in the four-part 2010 celebration?
The next page of the coverage in this month's figure king looks at the first entry into the 2010 celebration, Masterpiece Optimus Prime full sleep mode. Following on, there is an image of an upcoming Movie series Bumblebee Bearbrick, and then a two page spread looking at the June 2010 Takara-Tomy Transformers Animated releases - Grimlock, Swoop, Snarl and Blackout. All four now feature color faction logos in the place of their earlier gold or silver ones, but do not sport any other significant changes. Blackout in these images even seems to have more black around the edges of his eyes, making him appear to be more show accurate. The coverage is rounded out with a page covering Takara-Tomy's domestic products such as Disney Label Buzz Lightyear, Device Label Broadblast and Cheetas, plus a page talking about the next episodes of Transformers Animated to arrive in Japan, which are:
#5 Irreparable Memory - aka "Thrill of the Hunt", Lockdown's introductory episode.
#6 Immortal Megatron - Probably "Home is Where the Spark is"
#7 Challenge of Burning Giant - aka "Total Meltdown"
#8 Birth of Dinobot! - aka "Blast from the Past", the episode that introduces Grimlock and the Dinobots.
Also in this month's Figure King is confirmation that Japan will also be getting the Cyber Missions shorts.
