Got a couple of things in the mail yesterday, which really got me excited...
...scored me a loose (although it was in the bag unopened when I got him,) G.I.Joe Kre-o Cobra Commander!
and if that wasn't enough, along came this guy...Monster Arts AVP:R Wolf Predator...
Man oh man....do I love this guy. The Wolf Predator design has always been one of my favorite designs for the hunter ever conceived, and this guy just did not disappoint. The attention to detail is incredible, the weapons and accessories are beautifully sculpted and painted, and he comes with a slew of interchangeable parts. He's a bit pricier than NECA's versions, but he's worth every penny.
On a side note, from examining the figure carefully, he has a couple of pegs and hooks where other accessories can attach, namely the extra plasma caster and throwing disks that will be featured in the heavy armor version coming in August. (You can actually see one of these on his hip in this picture.) Hopefully, Monster Arts will provide us a way to get a hold of those accessories without having to pick up that version as well.
Those of you who are curious and are wondering about the figure's scale, here's some comparisons...
First, next to NECA's Dutch and Predator final battle set...
Next to NECA's original AVP:R Wolf Predator (sorry, this one is still in the box...lol...)
Next to Kaiyodo's Revoltech Predator (NR-96)
And finally, next to some Marvel Legends versions of some well known Avengers....He really works perfect in scale with them! (It was also pretty difficult to get him to sit still with those pistols in their hands. =P)
