Also: I've come to the conclusion that the new plain black packaging is designed to emulate the boxes of tec toys, IPad for example comes in a flat white box with the logo in glossy finish. My guess is that they're trying to appeal to the minimalist "tec" look modern kids are use to.
No black is much harder to paint over for example. I am using my knowledge of certain industries I work in. Nope, on simplistic, I respect your opinion, but I know for FACT Hasbro increased the cost of packaging because they used black boxes and more recycled packaging to win awards.
My use of mp3 and movies industry was appropriate. Gave consumers less, eventually they got fed up and decided to move away from traditional markets.
BTW I saw staples advertising 3D printers today in the papers and TV.
