In kind of the same vein, but...I'd like to see more Marvel animated films. DC seems to have no issues with pumping them out, and for the most part I enjoy them all. I don't know any facts on this but does Fox own the rights to the mutants in toon form as well?
Hulk vs. Wolverine was fun, as we got to see a few baddies getting crunched and a little bit of Deadpool's wit. In the pay-as-you-go Astonishing X-Men, we got to see lots of great things, including Armor (is that her name?), who by the way would make an awesome BAF. I think there is so much room for the 'creatives' at Marvel/ Disney to flesh out the universe with crossovers, space and helllloooo Secret Wars in a 3 part series et al. (Hahaha - make it happen)
Or maybe, Marvel doesn't see the dough in this anymore? They do have the ability to get figures made from toon movies just the same as feature films without promoting outside interests and there are tons of them waiting to be made or remade better.
I think eventually we'll see the X-Men in comic garb on the big screen, I mean....there will be reboots just like Spidey and Bats down the line. Teletoon up here usually plays a toon movie on Friday nights, they premier some very soon after the initial release, and I've never seen any of the figures I collect advertised during the shows, but what do I know?
Netflix is doing the 4 mini- series next year with Iron Fist et al, and will combine it into a feature or two, could their be figures for those programs? Agents of Shield had Deathlok's son looking at figs though a store window early on, but no ads in prime time for the goods, and no goods for collectors or fans, but sell more soap and TGIFridays $9.99 specials I'm afraid...
Flesh it out and make me my damn Rogue and Polaris already!
