Quoting the info from a member who's on the east coast.
"The 36 hour research must be complete before 3 AM eastern. Preferably 2:55 eastern. So if you haven't done it yet, you must start it before 3 pm eastern today. That's about 5 and a half hours from now."

This side task was the most hardest I think, cause not enough drops for the items, just started researching it now cause I was hoping to get 2 more of the orange poisons but nope ended up using gold on it ugh. Stupid PD. I should have enough time to research it though.

Yeah, they released a minor tweak late Friday that tweaked Bastion's difficulty to more manageable levels. He was unbearably hard before that though, even for higher level folk.

And yeah, the research for that spear was annoying. Would've been nice if they spaced things out better. It would've been nicer to get lockboxes now instead of red poisons.
