Yep, just trimmed them off a tiny bit. It really doesn't take much. I preferred taking them off that way than trying to sand them and taking off some of the ball.

That's the exact reason I modded the legs. IM looks like John Wayne had spilled coffee on his pants and just jumped off the horse. >.<

The tape I use is Tamiya masking tape so it has little tack, that helped. If you use something that does leave anything, Goo gone is always your friend.
