As far as Hasbro making a female "Thor" figure, I think it will probably happen right after they make a female Loki figure.

I like that idea. It'd be an interesting parallel to what Loki went through and would let Thor experience first hand what women go through daily.

Thor's strength and abilities don't all come from the hammer, but the hammer grants all of them due to the inscribed incantation.

"Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall inherit and possess the power of Thor."

So anything Thor himself has naturally or via the Hammer anyone worthy who lift it also get.
